Trevor Jeffries

After witnessing my father's deep belief in the Gillies McIndoe Research Institute’s vision, I’m now carrying on his legacy, supporting groundbreaking cancer research to ensure equitable treatment for all.

Since being introduced to Dr Swee Tan by my father, Sir John Jeffries.  My father, along with Sir David Beattie, were the founding Patrons of the Institute, and I heard firsthand their passionate belief in the research and the people behind it.

My family and many others I know have lost loved ones to cancer.  After a lifetime in education, equity of access to medical treatment for children is very important to me, and this is a core aspiration of Gillies McIndoe for everyone. Through their groundbreaking research, Gillies McIndoe Research Institute have shown a commitment to achieving that.

It was suggested that I continue my father’s support for the Gillies McIndoe Research Institute, as Margie Beattie is continuing her father’s.  Having met more of the incredibly talented researchers who work at Gillies McIndoe, I am proud to be an Ambassador.
