Mrs Carolyn Croasdale RN, BN, Research Nurse

Mrs Croasdale graduated with a Diploma of Nursing in 1991 from Wellington Polytechnic and has been a registered nurse for many years, working in various specialties at Hutt Hospital, including the Regional Plastic, Maxillofacial & Burns Unit from 1991 to 2003. While employed as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the Unit she earned a Bachelor of Nursing degree. Carrying on her nursing career in the Intensive Care Unit and working in Plastic Surgery Outpatients, she gained skills in running and booking clinics, minor procedures, working in a dressing clinic for complex wounds and nipple tattooing, required for women undergoing major surgery for breast cancer. Over the six years prior to joining the GMRI she worked in the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, where she gained Proficient Level on the clinical career pathway before moving into the primary health sector as a District Nurse.

Mrs Croasdale looks forward to the next chapter in her nursing journey as part of the GMRI team as a Research Nurse.
