Mark Hargreaves BA/LLB (Hons)

Mark is a principal of AJ Park-a leading provider of intellectual property law services in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Mark heads AJ Park’s commercial and strategy practice, and advises clients on a wide range of commercial, strategy and corporate matters with an emphasis on technology and IP.
Mark’s role includes working with clients to develop and implement their IP strategies, drafting and negotiating local and complex cross border licence agreements, drafting and negotiating joint venture and other collaborative agreements, drafting and negotiating major ICT system supply and services agreements, and working with clients to understand the impact of international laws on their intellectual property licensing structures.
Mark leads AJ Park’s participation in Callaghan Innovation’s Innovation IP programme. Under this programme, Callaghan Innovation appointed AJ Park to a panel of providers who work with businesses throughout New Zealand to help them understand IP and develop appropriate IP strategies.
Mark is a barrister and solicitor, and a registered patent attorney in New Zealand and Australia and previously worked in roles at Simpson Grierson in Wellington, Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Sydney and Citibank NA in London.
